What else do you need to know about Flamigo in Pokémon Go?
Beyond how to find one during the event, here's a few other things to know about Flamigo in Pokémon Go:
- On its debut, Flamigo is not shiny. The wait for when a Pokémon becomes shiny can vary massively: in some cases they debut with a shiny version available immediately, and in others, they can take years. We don't know how long Flamigo will take, but in the meantime, here's a look at the shiny thanks for this video from Sunnyfish on YouTube:
- If you're in the mood for shiny hunting, then know there's an "increased chance" to encounter shiny Lotad, shiny Spritzee, and shiny Pipipek during the 'Carnival of Flamigo' event.
- Flamigo is a dual fighting- and flying-type, and though it won't make a dent in the meta generally, it does have its uses in Go Battle League under the right circumstances, according to this analysis by JRE47 on reddit - specifically, if a Fighting Cup were to return.
- According to the Pokédex, Flamigo "apparently ties the base of its neck into a knot so that energy stored in its belly does not escape from its beak", if you were curious about that particular characteristic.
All the best in your search for Flamigo!
