'Kanto Legends' was a paid Special Research quest released in September 2025 in Pokémon Go.
Available as part of the 'Kanto Celebration' event, which focused on the first generation of Pokémon, this optional paid research rewarded Dynamax versions of Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos.

If you purchased the 'Kanto Legends' paid ticket during the 'Kanto Celebration' event, the following research is available in your Special Research tab:
'Kanto Legends' step 1 of 3
- Catch 151 Pokémon (reward: 2x Silver Pinap Berry)
- Use 151 Berries to help catch Pokémon (reward: x2 Golden Razz Berry)
- Spin 51 PokéStops or Gyms (reward: 10,000 XP)
- Collect MP from 15 Power Spots (reward: 10,000 Stardust)
End rewards: Dynamax Articuno encounter, 30 Articuno Candy, 3 Articuno Candy XL
'Kanto Legends' step 2 of 3
- Power up Pokémon 51 times (reward: 3 Charged TM)
- Use 51 super effective charged attacks (reward: 3 Fast TM)
- Defeat 10 Team Go Rocket members (reward: 10,000 XP)
- Win 10 Max Battles (reward: 10,000 Stardust)
End rewards: Dynamax Zapdos encounter, 30 Zapdos Candy, 3 Zapdos Candy XL
'Kanto Legends' step 3 of 3
- Evolve 10 Pokémon (reward: 1 Poffin)
- Earn 51 hearts with your buddy (reward: 5 Rare Candy)
- Send 51 Gifts to friends (reward: 10,000 XP)
- Collect 15,100 Max Particles (reward: 10,000 Stardust)
End rewards: Dynamax Moltres encounter, 30 Moltres Candy, 3 Moltres Candy XL
