VP - or Victory Points - is the primary currency in competitive battling game Pokémon Champions.
VP can be used for just about everything, from recruiting Pokémon permanently, to training Pokémon and buying items from the shop.
Since you cannot purchase VP with real-world money, and the currency having such a wide application across the game, learning how to get VP in Pokémon Champions is important in building and improving your squad, as well as kitting out your Pokémon Trainer with new cosmetics.
How to get VP in Pokémon Champions
The primary source of getting VP in Pokémon Champions in the long term is by completing Ranked battles. Whether you win or lose, you earn some VP.
It can also be sourced through plenty of other one-off sources, however, as well as a few reoccurring ones too. The full list of ways to get VP are as follows:
- Winning a Ranked Battle (300 VP)
- Losing a Ranked Battle (80 VP)
- Note: these were only tested at launch, and might change at higher ranks
- Completing three Daily Missions (500 VP)
- Completing Weekly Missions, including logging into the game five times (1,000-2,000 VP each)
- Completing Trainer Achievements and Pokémon Achievements (500-2,000 VP each, one-off)
- Completing one-off Starter Missions (2,000-3,000 VP each, one-off)
- Completing the "Double Battles" Battle Tutorial (10,000 VP, one-off)
- Seasonal battle pass progress (Ranks 31-50 for 500 VP each, or 10,000 VP total)
As a reminder, VP cannot be purchased using real-world money - it can only be acquired in-game.

What can VP be spent on in Pokémon Champions?
VP is the main method of recruiting Pokémon permanently, training Pokémon, and buying in-game items from the Shop.
Below are the various ways VP can be spent, and examples of how much things cost:
Recruiting Pokémon
- Shortening the Recruit queue by one hour (100 VP)
- Permanent Recruitment (2,500 VP)

Pokemon Training
- Change Moves (250 VP each)
- Change specific stats (5 VP per stat point)
- Change Stat Alignment i.e. Nature (500 VP)
- Change Ability (500 VP)

Frontier Shop
- Held Items (400-1,000 VP each)
- Mega Stones (2,000 VP each)
- Trainer Clothing (anywhere from 500-2,200 VP each)
- Pre-Battle Poses, Throwing Styles and Victory Poses (anywhere from 1,500-5,000 VP each)
- Battle Songs (5,000 VP each)

It should be known that spending VP is it not the only way to do some of the above actions, as Training Tickets, Teammate Tickets and Quick Coupons are alternative ways to train and recruit without spending VP. As such, holding back VP for Frontier Shop purchases might be the way to go.
