Applin evolutions are one of the more elaborate 'dex entries to fill in Pokémon Go.
The Gen 8 Pokémon has three direct evolutions which require Apple evolution items, with a further evolution then branching off with an additional requirement.

Applin evolution requirements in Pokémon Go
Applin can evolve into the following Pokémon once you have fulfilled the following requirements:
- Flapple: 20 Tart Apples and and 200 Applin Candy
- Appletun: 20 Sweet Apples and 200 Applin Candy
- Dipplin: 20 Syrupy Apples and 200 Applin Candy
- Hydrapple: Evolve Applin into Dipplin, then catch seven Dragon-type Pokémon with Dipplin as you Buddy - then finally, use 400 Applin Candy
Overall, you need 60 Apple evolution items (20 Tart Apples, Sweet Apples and Syrupy Apples) and a total of 1,000 Applin Candy to get all four possible evolutions. That's a lot!
Remember, to get the Apples (as well as Applin spawns), then put down a Mossy Lure Module. If you are in need of Candy, then using a Pinap Berry each time, and walking with Applin as you Buddy, is also worth considering.
Can Applin evolutions be shiny in Pokémon Go?
Yes, Applin and its evolutions can be shiny as of September 2026's 'Harvest Festival' event.

If you want a living 'dex with each of these, that means you need another 60 evolution items and 1,000 Applin Candy. It's quite a demanding evolution line!
