Armored Mewtwo is returning to Pokémon Go for the first time in six years.

Announced during the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, the form will appear in five-star raids as part of the Go Fest: Mega Finale raid schedule, which takes place on 5th and 6th September between 10am and 6pm local time.

It will not, however, be shiny - with a shiny version yet to appear in the game so far.

Armored Mewtwo last appeared in Pokémon Go in February and March 2020 as part of that year's Pokémon Day celebrations, after its initial debut in the game in July 2019. The form made its franchise debut in Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution, which is now available to watch on Netflix.
