The 'Dancing in the Moonlight' Timed Research in Pokémon Go is exclusive to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
The research - which sees Clefairy appear "in large numbers in the wild" for five minutes at 12pm, 1pm, 7pm and 8pm between Wednesday, 23rd September and Sunday, 27th September - features two Timed Research quests, one after another, with a variety of encounters and rewards.

'Dancing in the Moonlight' Timed Research Timed Research rewards in Pokémon Go
The Timed Research is available between Wednesday, 23rd September and Sunday, 27th September, and features the following steps and rewards:
'Dancing in the Moonlight: Moonlit Path' Timed Research (step 1/1)
- Catch 10 Pokémon (1,000 XP)
- Catch 20 Pokémon (1,000 Stardust)
- Make 5 Nice Throws (Bunnelby encounter)
- Use one Daily Adventure Incense (Teddiursa encounter)
- Catch a Pokémon on 2 different days (Skitty encounter)
- Catch a Pokémon on 3 different days (Lunatone encounter)
Reward: Clefairy (with a Special Background) encounter, 2,026 XP, 2,026 XP
Once the above is complete, another set of Timed Research will unlock.
