Pokémon Go's run of Dragon-types featuring in June Community Day events will continue with the confirmation of Frigibax for 2026.
The dual Dragon- and Ice-type will appear in increased numbers on Saturday, 20th June at 2pm to 5pm local time, with the usual boost to shiny rates, £1.99 / $1.99 Special Research ticket, and a Lure Module bonus until 9pm.
Other bonuses on the day include 2x Catch Candy and a 3x Stardust Catch increase.
Elsewhere, the featured attack for final stage evolution Baxcalibur is the Charged Move 'Glaive Rush', with a 105 power in Gyms and Raids and 90 power in Trainer battles.
With the confirmation of Gen 9's Frigibax for June, it means we've skipped a generation of Dragon-types, with Gen 5's Axew, Gen 6's Goomy, and Gen 7's Jangmo-o appearing between 2023 and 2025 suggesting Dreepy was next. Perhaps that will arrive in 2027, but as recent Daily Discoveries changes have shown, how Niantic is approaching events is becoming more unpredictable than ever.
Elsewhere, Niantic is hosting a August Community Day vote, with four possible Pokémon up for contention. Earlier today also saw the confirmation of Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y in Super Mega Raids for the 'Forever Forward' season.
