Today's Pokémon Go event debuting Minior offers an unexpected surprise: the chance to receive one million Stardust for free.

As well as the 'Minor Shower Timed Research' for all players from 7pm local time on Monday, 19th October, some players will also receive additional Timed Research simply named 'Bonus Research', featuring 1,000,000 Stardust as the end reward (thanks MandolorianDad on reddit for first revealing this).

How to get this one million Stardust bonus is unknown: the official Pokémon Go Korea account mentions that players will receive it if they are "lucky", but whether there is any additional criteria - such as account age, the amount of Stardust you have, or if it's simply random - is unknown. I've reached out to Scopely Explore direct to see if there's anything they can share.

Until then - you'll find out if you have the bonus come 7pm on Monday. If you receive it, let us know in the comments or over social media, if only to make me jealous (as I inevitably won't get it myself).
