Squawkabilly, the Parrot Pokémon, has debuted in Pokémon Go as part of June 2026's 'Flying Taxi' event.
The Gen 9 Normal and Flying-type has four forms - green, blue, yellow and white - two of which are regional.
This page explains how to get Squawkabilly in Pokémon Go on its debut, how all four Squawkabilly forms work, and what each shiny Squawkabilly looks like when they eventually arrive in the game.
How to get Squawkabilly in Pokémon Go's 'Flying Taxi' event
There are three ways to get Squawkabilly during its debut week in the 'Flying Taxi' event:
- In the wild (all forms; Green or Blue is depending on your region, while White Plumage Squawkabilly is an uncommon encounter)
- The 'Flying Taxi' event Go Pass (White Plumage Squawkabilly when reaching Rank 60, one free and one Deluxe)
- In Field Research:
- Catch 5 Flying-type Pokémon (Yellow Plumage Squawkabilly)
- Catch 10 Flying-type Pokémon (Green or Blue, depending on your region)
- Catch 15 Flying-type Pokémon (White Plumage Squawkabilly)
Thanks to PokeMiners for helping flesh out the above.

It should be noted whether Squawkabilly will be available after the event ends on Monday, 29th June remains to be seen. Either way, all four forms of Squawkabilly are available on its debut, but know that two are regional...
How to get Squawkabilly forms in Pokémon Go
Squawkabilly has four forms to catch, some of which are regional. Here's the breakdown:
- Green Plumage Squawkabilly: Eastern Hemisphere only
- Blue Plumage Squawkabilly: Western Hemisphere only
- Yellow Plumage Squawkabilly: Appears globally
- White Plumage Squawkabilly: Appears globally

This means every player will have access to three of the four Squawkabilly forms, with either Green or Blue only available in the other Hemisphere to them. That other form will require travelling to that Hemisphere, or trading with someone who has caught one, to complete the set.
Can Squawkabilly be shiny in Pokémon Go?
Shiny Squawkabilly is not in Pokémon Go yet - it may take years for the debut to roll out - but you can see what the four forms become in the below image:

Essentially, each form retains its base colour, while its head hair changes from black to pink.
How to get more Squawkabilly Candy in Pokémon Go
Squawkabilly cannot evolve, and isn't particularly meta relevant, so getting extra Squawkabilly isn't a priority. However there's a few ways to source more Squawkabilly Candy if you're particularly keen:
- Use a Pinap Berry and have a Normal or Flying-type Mega Evolution active while catching
- Have Squawkabilly as your Buddy Pokémon (it'll drop Candy every 3km)
- Transfer any caught Squawkabilly you don't want to keep
- Trade any caught Squawkabilly you don't want to keep
Best of luck getting all four Squawkabilly forms this week!
