Coming up is a bird-heavy week, with a new Gen 9 Pokémon starting the week, and a less exciting Super Mega Raid debut ending it. There's also the next Team Go Rocket takeover and the latest opportunity to get a rare Super Rocket Radar.

What to know about this week

Here's the biggest opportunities and observations for the days ahead:

Highlight of the week

Any unreleased Pokémon making a debut is going to be the biggest draw of the week, especially if it has regional forms.

Parrot Pokémon Squawkabilly flies in on Tuesday as part of the 'Flying Taxi' event, has four forms up for grabs. Two - yellow and white - appear globally, while blue and green are only available in the Eastern and Western Hemisphere respectively.

Though Squawkabilly will be readily available during the event via wild spawns and Field Research, since there's no Raid appearance, it means it's another set of forms which will require globetrotting or trading to complete the set. But with the broad hemisphere rollout, this shouldn't be too taxing to tick off.

Speaking of debuts...

Hoothoot is a new Dynamax, showing up first during this week's Max Monday. If you're not fussed about it, remember the new 1 XL Rare Candy bonus for completing Power Spot encounters to make it worth your while.
