The research - which features a "championship-ready Great League team" with a choice between Lickitung, Totodile and Paldean Wooper - requires you to watch the Pokémon Go Twitch channel (on Friday or Saturday) or the main Pokémon Twitch channel (on Sunday) for 30 minutes with a linked Pokémon Trainer Central account.

Lickitung, Totodile or Paldean Wooper Choose a Path in Pokémon Go: Which is better?
Each choice comes with two additional Pokémon to also catch:
- Likitung (also Swablu, Piplup)
- Totodile (also Marill, Pineco)
- Paldean Wooper (also Sentret, Kecleon)
All Pokémon are great picks with the Great League, and if PvP / Go Battle League is something you are particularly interested in, then chances are you'll have some of these already - in which case, choose the one with Pokémon you don't have.
For everyone else more focused on raids / PvE content, or simply want the strongest Pokémon, there's no standouts really - so let's look at rarity or simple personal preference.
Out of the trio, Kecleon (from choosing Paldean Wooper) and Likitung are arguably the hardest to find out of the three, with the rest being fairly common through various events.
Personally? I'm a fan of Likitung from way back in the Gen 1 days - and as I've yet to get the shiny, then another roll of the dice to get one of those is always welcome. If you have yet to get a shiny Kecleon, that's a reason to opt for that, too - though be aware shiny odds from this Timed Research are low either way.

- Use a Charged TM (Piplup / Pineco / Kecleon encounter, depending on your choice)
Reward: 25 Candy for each of your choices
Team Building: Great League Bonus Timed Research (step 3/3)
- Battle another Trainer in the Great League (1,000 Stardust)
- Win a Trainer Battle in the Great League (2,500 Stardust)
- Win 3 Trainer Battles in the Great League (5,000 Stardust)
