The Prismana Flow mechanic serves a very useful purpose - spawning Prismana Aniimo.

To reach this state, you need increase Prismatic Energy through a process called Nurture, which is performed by interacting with Blooms in the area in question.

It's quite an involved - and initially confusing - process, and this Aniimo guide explains how it all works, in brief then step-by-step.

How to Nurture and increase Prismana Flow in Aniimo in brief

First, before you can start the Nurture process at a given area's Bloom, make sure you have unlocked the Bronze Badge first (by catching 40% of aniimo found there).

From there, the Nurture process works as follows:

  1. Nurture the Bloom (either from the menu or in person)
  2. Interact with the Bloom to trigger a Wild Surge, then catch all the Aniimo that appear within three minutes
  3. Interact with the Bloom again to receive Prismatic Energy and increase the gauge
  4. Repeat the process until the Prismatic Energy state is Full, initiating Prismana Flow and spawning the area's Prismana Aniimo
  5. Travel to the Prismana Aniimo location and then catch

In short, you want to repeat the Nurture process until the Prismana Aniimo you're after spawns, which happens when you reach the highest amount of Prismana Energy. There's more to it, of course, which we'll go through step-by-step below.

🤞
It's also worth noting that you can technically also increase Prismana Energy through Lucky Catches - which we'll mention later - but really, you need to be Nurturing Blooms in order to reach Prismana Flow.

How to Nurture Blooms, step-by-step

Now we know how the Nurturing process works as a whole, here's a step-by-step - from how to kick the whole process off, and be effective in spawning those Prismana Aniimo.

How to Nurture

To begin Nurturing a Bloom, you have two options: either go direct to the Bloom itself (if you zoom in a little, it'll appear on the map, allowing you fast travel to it), or via the menu.

If you're doing the latter, open the map then select 'Deliver Lumin Amber' (press and hold the X button on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, or whatever appears in the following screenshot on your platform):

From there, the Nurture menu is found in the bottom left corner, along with an indication of how long it'll be until your next free Nurture (you get one per 24 hours). When you're ready to Nurture, press Left on the D-Pad.

From here, you can select which Bloom you which to Nurture (any area greyed out does not have the Bronze Badge unlocked), and which Nurture offering you want to provide (an optional step where you donate an item to change what Aniimo spawn there).

You can also see the Prismatic State for that area (at the top of the screen), letting you know how much Nurturing you have remaining, as well as how many more times today you can Nurture overall (in the bottom left).

When ready, either spend one of your three free Nurtures, or spend Vein Essence, to Nurture, then travel to the Bloom.

Wild Surge

Now, touch the Bloom you just Nurtured to Attract Aniimo, starting a Wild Surge.

You have three minutes to collect around two dozen Aniimo. No need to fight, just throw Aniipods their way; you should be done in plenty of time.

Once finished, touch the Bloom once more to increase the amount of Prismatic Flow in the area - you'll get an idea of your progress at the top of the screen. (Ther are six stages in total - see the next section for a list.)

The amount of Prismatic Energy you receive tends to be quite small, meaning multiple Nurtures will be required. (From scratch, it could be around a dozen.) That said, there is a low chance that any given Nurture will completely full the Prismana Flow at once - so it's possible you might get lucky along the way.

Prismatic Energy stages

The Prismana Flow is achieved by completing six stages, from Empty to Full. These are:

  1. Empty
  2. Very Low
  3. Slight
  4. Abundant
  5. Very High
  6. Full

Once it reaches Full, then the Prismana Aniimo you're after will spawn somewhere in the area - you'll be shown exactly where on the map. It's then a case of travelling over and catching.

With such a long process required, using a Sparkling Aniipod - with its 100% catch rate, Perfect Potential and Sparkling bonuses - is highly recommended.

How to get Prismatic Energy in Aniimo

There are two ways to increase Prismana Flow:

  1. Nurturing a Bloom and completing the Wild Surge (small increase each time, with a small chance of it filling completely when you reach a new level)
  2. Achieving Lucky Strikes (random low chance when catching any Aniimo in the area - not just during Wild Surges - which increases Prismatic Energy slightly)

This means you have two options when it comes to increasing Prismatic Energy: Nurturing a Bloom (you can bank three free Nurtures, or spend a Vein Essence), or by catching any Aniimo in the wider area on the (low) chance you get Lucky Strikes.

How to effectively reach Prismana Flow

Nurturing a Bloom is by far your best bet, especially if you can make use of the free three Nurtures. There is also a 50% boost for your first three between Friday and Sunday, meaning doing this on each of these days is highly recommended.

You could also farm Aniimo catches in a bid to get Lucky Strikes, but the chances are so low that you'll be spending hours making very incremental gains.
