Pokémon Champions has been given an update, addressing a number of issues that cropped up at launch.
Update 1.0.3, released on 22nd April, 2026, offers fixes for the incorrect gender for Gallade in the tutorial, being unable to use the cursor around Mega Evolutions, changes in speed caused by held items not being taken into account, and more (the full list of patch notes are towards of this article).
One issue which remains outstanding - which The Pokémon Company has yet to officially comment on - is with regards to the Switch 2 version, which runs at a lower resolution in TV mode until you remove the console from the dock and reinsert it again.
I checked in with Digital Foundry's Tom Morgan (who commented on our original story on the issue) to see if this had been quietly addressed by the update, and he's confirmed no fix as of yet.

Pokémon Champions 1.0.3 patch notes
The Pokémon Champions 1.0.3 patch notes are as follows, sourced from the official support page:
- The gender listed for certain Pokémon in the tutorial is listed incorrectly.
- The player is unable to select a move when they move the cursor over Mega Evolution while viewing move details and then press the B Button.
- The Unnerve ability doesn’t work on Pokémon with certain abilities, and they are able to eat Berries.
- The changes in speed caused by held items are not reflected in the order in which abilities activate.
- Certain other issues related to networking and visual appearance during battles.
