Season M-6 will introduce new changes to Switch and mobile battler Pokémon Champions.
After Season M-5 offered very few changes, there's a lot of expectation on Season M-6, with a strong chance of a new Regulation, a roster update and more. And with a release date of 9th September, there won't be long to wait.
This guide explains the Pokémon Champions Season M-6 release date, and what we can expect.
Pokémon Champions Season M-6 release date, time
Pokémon Champions Season M-6 has a release date of Wednesday, 9th September, 2026, and based on previous seasons, a release time of 6:00 UTC, which is the following times in Europe and the Americas:
- BST (UK): 7am
- CEST (Western Europe): 8am
- EDT (East Coast Americas): 2am
- PDT (West Coast Americas): 11pm (4th August)
Downtime usually starts at 2:00 UTC (four hours before the above times), if you want to get a final bit of playtime in before Season M-6 arrives.
What can we expect from Pokémon Champions Season M-6?
There's plenty about Season M-6 we don't know about, but there also some usual changes to look forward to. Let's go through them one-by-one.
- Ranked Battles will likely change to a new Regulation. We're currently on Regulation Set M-B for a third season running (it was introduced with Season M-3), with it lasting longer than expected with Pokémon World Championships at the end of August. After that, The Pokémon Company will be happy to change the meta, and hopefully introduce some roster changes, too.
- Either way, we'll know more after the final on Sunday, 30th August, where there is usually a suite of announcements for various Pokémon games; since Pokémon Champions is the main competitive title, expect this to have a big focus.
- A new Battle Pass and associated rewards, which will likely include Pokémon and their Mega Stones, new Style items, Quick Coupons, Training Tickets, Teammate Tickets and VP.
- A reset to player ranks, with the Champion Tier and Master Ball Tier release coming a week later.
- VP rewards based on your final placement in the previous season.
- Previous Season Ranking data available in the 'Battle Data' area of the Battle menu.
Additionally, an interview by Gamerbraves with producer Masaaki Hoshino earlier this year also suggested a few other features coming at some point - unevolved Pokémon, new arenas and custom tournaments among them - so it's possible Season M-6 could feature some of these, too.
