Season M-5 will usher in new changes to competitive battler Pokémon Champions.
Dated for 5th August, 2026, as with previous seasons it'll offer a new Battle Pass, and likely a new Regulation. And with Pokémon Champions offering fairly short seasons, the wait won't be long.
This guide explains the Pokémon Champions Season M-5 release date, and what we can expect.

What can we expect from Pokémon Champions Season M-5?
There's plenty about Season M-5 we don't know about, but there also some usual changes to look forward to. Let's go through them one-by-one.
- Ranked Battles will likely change to a new Regulation. We're currently on Regulation Set M-B (introduced with Season M-3) and between the following graphic which suggests Regulation M-C will roll out for the next season, and Set M-A lasting two seasons previously, this is likely. However, we don't know for sure until Season M-5 arrives.

- A new Battle Pass and associated rewards, which will likely include Pokémon and their Mega Stones, new Style items, Quick Coupons, Training Tickets, Teammate Tickets and VP.
- A reset to player ranks, with the Champion Tier and Master Ball Tier release coming a week later.
- VP rewards based on your final placement in the previous season.
- Previous Season Ranking data available in the 'Battle Data' area of the Battle menu.
Beyond the above, a recent interview from Gamerbraves with producer Masaaki Hoshino discussed the possibility of new features coming to the game in the near future - including unevolved Pokémon, new arenas and custom tournaments.
It's possible some of these might come with Season M-5, but if not, hopefully they'll be on the roadmap for some point in the future.
In the meantime, if you're interested in what's new in Season M-4, we have our own patch notes to read.
