Pokémon Go will soon allow Pokémon caught with Safari Balls to be transferred to Pokémon Home, it's been announced.
From October, any Pokémon caught with Safari Balls can be transferred to the service - just in time for their return in the Go Wild Area 2026 event the following month.
A catch, however, is those Pokémon will be housed inside Strange Balls once they arrive in Pokémon Home.

The announcement comes as part of various changes and additions to Pokémon Home in October, including:
- Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen to enable Pokémon Home support
- Catching all Pokémon in Pokédexes across both games will reward Celebi in Pokémon Home
- Those on a paid Premium Plan will see a storage increase from 6,000 Pokémon to 9,000 Pokémon
It was also announced that Pokémon Bank, Pokémon Home's predecessor on Nintendo 3DS, will end service from Friday, 26th February, 2027 - giving you just a few months to transfer any Pokémon from the Game Boy Advance onwards through to modern day generations.
