'Choose Your Path: Venom and Vines' - also known as 'Choose Your Own Daily Path' - is a branching quest in Pokémon Go.

Starting at 10am on Tuesday, 11th August and ending on Monday, 17th August at 8pm, it is the latest Explore, Catch, Battle questline to drop during a non-event week.

As previously, some players get a new choice every day, while others have one for the whole week. However, though the tasks differ, the bonuses and rewards are the same: encounters with Venonat and Fomantis.

This guide features all six 'Choose Your Path: Venom and Vines' research bonuses, the possible tasks, and the rewards available.

'Choose Your Path: Venom and Vines' bonus differences in Pokémon Go

Between 10am on Tuesday, 11th August and 8pm on Monday, 17th August, you'll get either a daily or week-long choice of one of six bonuses.

If you get the daily choice, then the six options are as follows:

Know that these choices are the same as the recent Fossil Fun, Charged Embers and Fairy Trail events.

If you get the weekly choice, then you have just three options to choose from. Either way, you'll then get similar Timed Research related to that choice, which is explained later in this article.

What is the best 'Choose Your Path: Venom and Vines' choice for you?

With the encounters the same, and the tasks easily achievable within the time allotted, then the main thing to focus on is the bonus.

If you have the daily choice, then you can simply decide based on your playstyle that day. In an area with lots of PokéStops? The Explore (PokéStops) XP bonus is probably best. Taking on a lot of Go Team Rocket Grunts? Then go for Battle (Team Go Rocket)'s extra Mysterious Components is for you.

If you've got the week-long choice, then this is a little tricky. Personally, as someone who doesn't buy extra Incubators and does a lot of walking, I default to Explore (Hatch)'s 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance to make the most out of my infinite Incubator, whether that's given a weekly or the daily choice.

Either way, think about the day or week ahead, and go with the bonus that will benefit you most.

Then, at the end, you are given 3 Golden Razz Berry, 5 Rare Candy. You have until midnight to complete the challenges.
