The Pokémon Company will be working together with the European Space Agency (ESA) during this year's World Space Week, which runs between 4th and 10th October.
It's teased to be a "unique, limited-time collaboration [that] brings together two worlds united by curiosity, exploration and imagination", according to a press release.
It adds: "Further details of this collaboration will be revealed soon, but fans may already want to fasten their space helmets and get their Pokédexes ready."
There's not much to go on right now, basically, but there is some cute art of Pikachu wearing an ESA astronaut outfit while we wait for more:
Any ideas of what to expect? Though there's no mention of Pokémon Go involvement, I'd love a space-themed Special Background. Perhaps a Van Gogh-style card is more likely?
The Pokémon Company has been busy with collabs in this 30th anniversary year, having worked with the likes of the National Trust, Grind, and Lego.
