Welcome to the latest One More Catch weekly newsletter, offering you a guide to the week ahead in Pokémon Go.
The third and final in-person Go Fest takes place this coming weekend, with the tour of Mega Mewtwo, Zeraora and Caterpie in a Poké Ball hat concluding in Copenhagen, before returning for all players globally in July. I'll be in attendance, and you can expect some reporting from the event on socials and the site itself over the weekend and beyond. Meanwhile, the 'Forever Forward' season marches on, with the last leader-themed event taking us through most of the week.
So here's a snapshot of everything coming to Pokémon Go in the days ahead, the biggest opportunities available, and a roundup of Pokémon news and site updates you may have missed.

What to know about this week
Here's the biggest opportunities and observations for the days ahead:
Non-Go Fest event of the week...
New wild spawns and raid bonuses in the 'Candela's Quest for Victory' event. Starting on Tuesday, this is the third of three Instinct, Mystic and Valor leader-themed events that build up to each regional Go Fest (in this case, Copenhagen).
As with the other two, new wild spawns continue to be the highlight. And after temporary changes to Incense and 7km Egg Pokémon in the previous two events, Candela's features more of a raid and battling focus.
Beyond the usual raid line-up refresh, Go Pass bonuses include:
- Rank 10: An increased attack bonus from friends in raids
- Rank 20: 1.5x raid Stardust
- Rank 20 (Premium only): Up to two Raid Passes from spinning Gyms
In terms of what to expect from spawns and the like, here's the lineup according to the official event blog post. All of these can be shiny, by the way:
- Wild spawns: Charmander, Mankey, Hisuian Growlithe, Machop, Ponyta*, Scyther, Flareon, Slugma, Fletchling
- Field Research encounters: Charmander, Mankey, Hisuian Growlithe, Machop, Scyther, Flareon, Slugma, Scraggy, Fletchling, Honedge, Rockruff
- Raid appearances: Hisuian Growlithe, Machamp, Scizor, Magcargo, Scraggy, Honedge, Rockruff
- *The costumed Ponyta (wearing a Candela-themed accessory with a background inspired by Team Valor) will only be in the Go Pass (one encounter for each of the free and Deluxe tracks, for up to two total)
And just before that...
Dynamax Electabuzz debuts on Monday. Game-wide, evolution Electivire is a pretty decent Electric-type attacker, and though in Max Battles it'll almost certainly be outclassed by Legendaries like Zapdos and Raikou, with few pure Dynamax Electric-types that aren't Legendary out there (there's maybe just Jolteon and Pikachu / Raichu?) it won't hurt to chase a decent one down.
Go Fest concludes (for now)
In-person Go Fest events end this week. The third and final leg is in Copenhagen, which starts in full on Friday, and as with Tokyo and Chicago before it, sees attendees earn a Mega Mewtwo X & Y (in a questline and Unity Raids), mythical Zeraora, new costumed Pikachu and more. Remember, players not attending an in-person Go Fest can't get these yet, and will have to wait until the free Go Fest: Global in mid-July.
That said, there are some raids you can Remote Raid into as of the Thursday when the City Explorer experience begins. As with other Go Fest events this past month, you won't get location backgrounds, or in the case of Paldean Tauros, a shiny version, as all those are reserved for ticketed attendees only.
Those Go Fest: Copenhagen raids in question are:
- Combat Breed Paldean Tauros, Mewtwo*, Moltres, Entei, Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon, Shadow Moltres, Shadow Entei, Shadow Kyogre, Shadow Groudon

Nothing on Saturday again, right?
Correct. As with the last few weeks, with Go Fest: Copenhagen going on, there's no Saturday event. You can get involved by doing Remote Raids for the above local raids, and / or crack on with the 'Candela's Quest for Victory' event.
What's new in Pokémon and Pokémon Go?
- Pokémon Champions has a release date on mobile, arriving Wednesday, June 17th. That's the same date as Season M-3, and to celebrate the iOS and Android editions, players who log into any version of the game before 2nd September can get themselves a free Raichu with X and Y Mega Stones.
- I'm quite keen to see how the mobile version performs - by all accounts it looks to be the exact same, user interface and all - and assuming it runs well, I'm looking forward to trying (and failing) to rise through the ranks on the move.

- The physical Pokémon Trading Card Game has an exciting 30th anniversary expansion planned, with every card being a foil, plus over 30 Pikachus to collect - with one guaranteed in every booster pack.

- Mega Skarmory, which was previously datamined and confirmed as for the 'Forever Forward' season reveal, will have a Super Mega Raid Day on Saturday, June 27th. Expect the return of Timed Research during event hours, and the usual optional £4.99 / $4.99 event ticket.
Pokémon GO
- Elsewhere, Pokémon caster Charlie Merriman has organised a Pokémon-themed cystic fibrosis awareness week that's all about catching, completing or playing with yellow Pokémon. If you're a Pokémon streamer and fancy getting involved, details are in the link:

One More Catch notes
